Sharon Binder specializes in graphic design and calligraphy to create major works of Judaic art for the home, institutions and synagogue. The sukkah panels displayed at the International Judaica Fair and recent exhibits in the United States represent her unique synthesis of mixed media and Hebrew letters.
Trained in the United States and Canada, Sharon has exhibited internationally. Her illuminated Book of Ruth was featured at the Yeshiva University Museum. Specially commissioned pieces have been presented to such dignitaries as the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and the late King Hussein of Jordan.
Sharon’s expertise in such diverse media as painting, pen-and-ink, typography and fabric appliqué has been applied to murals, wall hangings, decorative arts, illustration and screen prints.
The artist works from her studio in the Talpiot area of Jerusalem and will be pleased to receive visitors, by appointment.
